County offices will close on May 12 for Law Enforcement Appreciation Day

All County offices and libraries will be closed Friday, May 12, in observance of Law Enforcement Appreciation Day. Last year the Miami-Dade County Board of County Commissioners passed legislation making the second Friday in May an annual County holiday to honor the men and women who serve and protect the citizens of Miami-Dade County.  

County Services Closed

  • All Miami-Dade County administrative offices will be closed Friday, May 12
  • Libraries will be closed Friday, May 12.

Weekend Activities

  • Spend time with the whole family at Miami-Dade County Parks. Enjoy nature trails, go on our waterways or enjoy a number of activities offered by Miami-Dade Parks in our outdoor spaces. 
  • Spend the long weekend learning about the history of South Florida. Visit Deering Estate or Vizcaya to learn more about these historic spaces and how they contributed to our community today.
