Victoria Unikel reports unidentified objects in video from Chichén Itzá

Victoria Unikel reported noticing two fast-moving objects in video she recorded during a birthday visit to Chichén Itzá in Mexico on October 30. The producer said she spotted them later while reviewing footage of the pyramid.

The account describes objects crossing the image over a small number of frames. That is an observation about a recording, rather than an identification of what crossed the camera’s view. The report did not establish the objects’ size, distance from the camera or physical nature.

Gene Avakyan examined the footage and considered speed estimates based on assumed object lengths. Those assumptions matter: changing the estimated size or distance changes the resulting speed. Without independently measured dimensions and distance, a numerical estimate cannot settle what the objects were.

The Chichén Itzá account remains a report of an unidentified sighting. The term UFO describes that lack of identification; it does not, by itself, establish an extraterrestrial explanation.
