YLD’s Virtual Summit ‘Mastering the Practice of Law’ has something for every young lawyer

The November 2 event is a free half-day conference where attendees will be able to select from 30 different CLE options to attend throughout the day’

Billed as its “biggest initiative of the year,” the Young Lawyers Division has set its Virtual Summit — “Mastering the Practice of Law” — for November 2.

The 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. event is a free half-day conference where attendees will be able to select from 30 different CLE options to attend throughout the day.

“The CLE topics cover a range of practice areas and issues and are designed to target every type of young lawyer and law student in Florida,” said YLD President Anisha Patel. “In addition, the only general session of the day will feature a Section Showcase, where sponsoring Bar sections will present for five minutes to discuss with attendees what their section does, the benefits of membership, and how to apply.”

The Florida Bar sections involved include:

  • Trial Lawyers Section
  • Labor & Employment Section
  • City, County & Local Government Law Section
  • International Law Section
  • Solo and Small Firm Section
  • Government Law Section
  • Administrative Law Section
  • Real Property Probate and Trust Law Section

“We are delighted to see the enthusiastic response to our inaugural virtual summit,” said Co-Chair Tiffany Hilton. “Knowledge should be accessible, and removing financial barriers is a fantastic step in enhance young lawyer’s knowledge base in several pivotal areas of law.”

Hilton said the goal is to empower and equip young lawyers with the knowledge they need to excel in their careers.
