Miami Beach attorney, philanthropist and cultural leader Aaron Resnick, Esq. will be inducted as the 2022 president of the Miami Beach Bar Association at the organization’s 75th Anniversary celebration on Tuesday, December 14, 2021, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., at The Moxy South Beach’s rooftop lounge “The Upside.”
The keynote speaker will be City of Miami Beach Mayor Dan Gelber, Esq., and the installation of the MBBA’s 2022 officers and directors will be officiated by Miami-Dade County Judge Stephanie Silver.
Former Miami Beach Commissioner and community association attorney Michael Gongora, Esq. with host the event with special proclamations from the City of Miami Beach, presented by Miami Beach Commissioner Kristen Rosen-Gonzalez.
The Miami Beach Bar Association was organized in 1946 by a small group of Miami Beach attorneys. Philanthropist and local attorney Baron De Hirsch Meyer was elected as its first president. Many of its members have gone on to serve as city officials, including several mayors and city commissioners, as well as judges, including the former Chief Justice of the Florida Supreme Court Gerald Kogan and current United States District Court Judge Beth Bloom.
Today, more than 700 attorneys live or work in the City of Miami Beach, making the Miami Beach Bar Associationone of the most prominent bar associations in Florida and the United States.
