CONGRESSMAN GIMENEZ CONDEMNS CASTRO REGIME AGENTS VISIT TO U.S. NATIONAL SECURITY FACILITIES

WASHINGTON D.C. – Congressman Carlos Gimenez (FL-28) sent a letter to Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas condemning the invitation for Castro regime agents to visit the U.S. Coast Guard headquarters and port facilities in Wilmington, North Carolina. Congressman Gimenez was joined by Rep. Mark Green, Chairman of the Homeland Security Committee, Rep. Michael McCaul, Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee, and Rep. Maria Elvira Salazar, Subcommittee Chairwoman of the Western Hemisphere. Congressman Gimenez serves as the Homeland Security Subcommittee Chair on Maritime Security.

Congressman Gimenez serves on the House Armed Services Committee, Homeland Security Committee, and the Select Committee on China. He represents Florida’s 28th Congressional District based in Miami-Dade County and the Florida Keys. Congressman Gimenez is the former Mayor of Miami-Dade County and currently the only Cuban-born Member of the 118th Congress.
